Spending time working on my alts (my paladin in particular lately) has given me an opportunity to visit parts of the WoW Blogosphere and the greater internet at large that I don’t normally visit in the course of my work for THM, WoW Insider or The Azeroth Advisor, and lately I’ve found some absolutely wonderful resources that I wanted to share with all you other alt-aholics and WoW enthusiasts out there.

Pink Raid Frames
This blog is relatively new, but I absolutely love the work they’ve done on it so far! The post that really sparked my interest in this site was one they put up recently discussing Paladin TPS rotations. The author, Doxa, did an excellent job of explaining how and why Pally TPS rotations work and even posted a follow-up video further illustrating the 969 cycle.
While my interest in this site, so far, is primarily centered around their Prot Pally information, they also have plenty of information up for pallies of the Ret or Holy persuasions, which I find especially handy since dual-specs will soon come into play and I’ll be looking for Holy info for my Pally’s secondary spec shortly. Their Prot, Holy and Ret FAQ pages are especially handy for folks just getting into the class in earnest.
If that weren’t enough, they’ve also got some fledgling forums up for you to ask the authors questions and get feedback from other visitors.
This site has quickly become one of my favorites, and I’m always looking forward to seeing what new information will pop up in my feed reader from them.

Maintankadin
These forums have actually been around for quite some time now, but I’ve only recently discovered them and starting perusing their offerings. As you might expect, their focus is Prot Paladins, and they’ve got plenty of information and theorycrafting to satisfy even the most veteran soldiers of the light.
In particular, I’ve enjoyed reading through the thread “Theck’s MATLAB TPS analysis (A Jonesy derivative work)” for little gems of information about the class (and upcoming changes) that I haven’t seen mentioned elsewhere.
Unfortunately, for now there isn’t much information available on the forums that will be immediately useful to me. While they do cover some low-level tips and gear guides, much of that information isn’t new to me and the rest of the site mainly covers information pertinent to those at the level cap working through end-game content. But, it’ll surely be an invaluable resource to me once my Pally is doing that content, and I look forward to taking a closer look at their recommendations when the time comes.

No Stock UI
Another new blog on the scene, No Stock UI is brought to you by Matticus and several other WoW bloggers. As you might imagine, this blog covers interface addons to help players customize their gaming experience.
So far the thing that’s really impressed me about this blog is that it’s not simply a discussion of addons, but rather an introduction to various mods and a discussion of how those mods work and what they can do for you. It’s all too easy to simply say “Look! Here’s a bunch of addons! Go nuts!”, but the folks at No Stock UI take it much further, providing instructions for setting up your new mods (along with detailed screenshots) and suggestions for the best way to make efficient use of them.
They also do comparisons of similar addons and provide basic reviews and recommendations. For example, their post “Which of These 5 Bag Addons is Right for You?” helps players choose an add-on to help manage their inventory efficiently.

Rogue Rogue
This site I actually found a little while ago and just never got around to making a big stink about. They’ve got a lot of great videos, especially for folks that are looking for PvP help. They’ve also got a ton of theorycrafting posts up that are especially handy for those of us that don’t always want to spend the time sifting through the threads on Elitist Jerks and need a bit more information than Shadow Panther provides.
My one and only complaint about this site is that their RSS feed doesn’t show full articles, just snippets, which is kind of annoying. I’d like to be able to read all of their insights from the convenience of Google Reader, rather than having to go straight to the source.
I’m sure there are several other sites I’ve visited recently that I’m forgetting to mention here, but these four really stood out to me and I just had to share them. I’ve mentioned them on Twitter a few times, but finally I felt that they needed a full post all their own. Even if you don’t play the classes these sites are related to, they’re still an interesting read. (Yes, these sites are that good.) Definitely go check them out!

I am sooooo loving PRF right now. The signal to noise ratio is great compared to a lot of other blogs out there, and I rarely find myself skipping posts from them in my Feed Reader.
